Human Love

This is an essay discussing human love, corruption, evil and hatred, and its relation to human nature. This is my philosophy; it is the product of what I have learned from other people and through observation of the world around me.The key ideas I will be supporting in the following paragraphs is that it is human nature to want to give and receive love; and a nature that must be exploited the fullest in order to rectify the current state of the world. Evil, competition, hatred and the human capabilities of such, are also woven into human nature; but only exists because it must, in order for love to exist, and must not be used.

Before I continue, I must establish exactly what love is. This is very hard, because language cannot fully describe it; and in fact it will be an understatement of love, but for the sake of this composition I will make an attempt. Love is a sense of communication, caring, and emotion, benefiting both parties exchanging it. Love is a unity between humans. Caring, forgiveness, and acceptance are forms of love. Note that love comes in many forms, and it is not always the romantic love that you are probably most accustomed to.

Human love is just that, love between humans. If we are capable of it, then it is in our human nature. The capability of love is an honorable human trait and should be exploited to the fullest; and why not exploit it? It feels glorious, both the giving and the receiving of it. It is the most powerful gift we humans have. It can and will, so long as hope continues to thrive, trump any evil act it may confront. Every single human being is capable of love, every single human has it in them; it just sometimes needs a helping hand in order to surface. Every human, deep inside, wants to experience love. Oh and on a side note, start with yourself. You are in fact a conscious human being, and loving yourself is very possible.

Like most things, there are of course some exceptions. Now, I know I stated that every human being is capable of love, and that every human has it in them; it is true. Every human is born with it; but sometimes it can be corrupted. If a child does not receive the parental love that nature intended, for whatever reason (it all comes down to the child’s parents being corrupted originally), he may not want it; or at least he thinks he does not want it. I believe it is really just a strong subconscious fear. If a person has been rejected love for such a long time, the same could occur. I’m not going to go into this any further; it is beyond the scope of this article. Whether or not the person is still capable of love, I do not know. They were denied it, but they indefinitely had it at the start.

Evil and hatred is the human capability that is the exact inverse of love. It only exists because if it did not, then love would cease to exist. It exists, and always will; but that does not mean it has to be used or manipulated in anyway. It’s just something that is there because it must be there in order to balance something else. In this case, love. It is exposed when the very fabric that makes us human, love, becomes corrupt or is merely blurred from a persons’ perspective on his or her life’s occurrences. I believe that no one intends on using evil or hatred, it is a product of corruption and can blind the person to what they are really doing. The seven sins, although a Christian concept – and I am by no means a Christian, I believe to be good reference to the origin of corruption; with the exception of ‘lust’, which is beyond the scope of this essay. I could write a whole essay on just lust. Its meaning has varied and altered over the course of time, and I do not care to go into it for the sake of this composition. People will see no wrong to something, such as money; they see that it will cause no harm to anyone so they use it. If the power of it overwhelms the person, they may crave more and more (greed) and that will eventually cause harm or hurt to someone. They did not see it originally, they did not intend for it; and now, if they can even see the hurt it causes, they may not be able to right it – they may not even want to, by themselves anyway. Corruption is like a material virus that spreads with great ease. A very sophisticated virus at that can blind someone to the evil of itself before it has even begun corrupting a person.

Well, I hope you found this paper interesting, insightful, and enjoyable. If you disagree, question, or you cannot comprehend the philosophy hereon, I want to and must hear what you have to say. In order for you or me to learn anything, we need a flowing communication of ideas and thoughts. I encourage you to contact me and share your thoughts on this essay. Thank you. Enjoy your life, and remember my philosophy the next time you put down, make fun, argue (note I did not say discuss), disrespect, and before you decide you hate someone. Remember, forgiveness is a form of love, forgive and forget, live and learn, and most importantly learn to love…humanity depends on it. Enjoy your life, may it be a happy, joyful and prosperous one.

Take Care

  1. Can't say the people didn't understand properly then were corrupted later. Many people know exactly what they're doing and do it anyway right from the start.
